Keep up the good work CCP. Don't listen to all the whiners in this thread. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Edited by: Moon Kitten on 20/11/2009 00:04:06 If the choice is between mother ships with 60 million hp that could play undock games and mother ships remaining the same no change is the better alternative. Lets not repeat the mistake of adding something as unbalanced as remote cyno doomsday titans again. You know in your heart of hearts that I'm right.
CCP Nozh, stay strong you've made the right decision.

The mother ship pilots spamming this thread because they didn't get an nber solo pwn mobile proves Nozh's point that the planned changes wasn't going to result in a balanced ship. |

You guys are assuming that everywhere mother ships go there will be 10 titans ready to ambush them but that's simply not true. Titans are now even more vulnerable to subcapital ships than they were before so people will be even more weary to deploy them since the old doomsday is gone.
Meh, maybe you've never seen quick hot drops on a JF? Your MS could be the next to jump into a system with a cloaked hictor, 2 titans jump in, nuke 18bil isk, and then warp to a SS, cloak, and then cyno out once they have the cap. It's not like people have a 50man gang ready at all times.
if you are not dumb you scout the system before you jump into it hope this helps

Originally by: DigitalCommunist The decision to not change Motherships was the correct one. But the changes you're making to Titans are equally arbitrary and pointless.
Neither Titan nor Mothership have ever come close to serving their original intended purpose.
The only notable difference is that Titans had a completely separate function that made them popular (glass cannon), while Motherships did not.
You could revert the changes to Titans and it would not solve the problem of having 300+ Titans in the game which are little more than rich boys' toys. In my opinion, removing AOE seems more like an attempt to curb their proliferation. It does this by moving Titans further away from being strategic alliance assets and closer to being oversized pwnmobiles.
The primary issue with titans wasn't the number of titans in existence. It was the unbalanced Area of Effect weapon, the Doomsday that was the problem.
CCP made the right choice to remove the unbalanced doomsday weapon from the game. |

Why do you hate mothership pilots? Is it because Seleene used to fly one?
